After the European Union adopted a new package of sanctions against Minsk, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it would take firm and appropriate response measures.

Noting that tension had been contained in coordination between the two sides, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that clashes had erupted, today, between Iranian border guards and the Taliban.

Referring to economic and political sanctions among them, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said today that NATO had multiple options if Russia used force against Ukraine.

Saying that it was a "red line" for Russia and would lead to a "strong response," Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a strong warning to NATO against deploying its troops and weapons in Ukraine.

While Moscow took the initiative to accuse Kiev and its Western allies of "provocation," US Secretary of State Anthony Plinkin warned that any new Russian "aggression" against Ukraine would call for a "dangerous" response.
