In a tweet on Twitter, Ali Baqri Kni said: "After travelling to the countries of the region, I analyzed in Dubai today, and I had a friendly meeting with Dr. Mohamed Anwar Qarrahim, diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, and Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marir, and we agreed to open a new chapter in relations between the two countries."

The UAE WAM reported that during the meeting between Karzai and Baqri Kni, relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Iran were examined and the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening them on the basis of good-neighbourliness and mutual respect within the framework of common interests.

It also sought to promote greater stability and prosperity in the region and the development of economic and experimental relations between the two neighbouring countries.

The meeting also examined regional and international developments of common interest.
