Moscow announced the imposition of sanctions on a number of British officials, in response to the restrictive measures taken by London against Russian citizens in light of the alleged poisoning of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny.

 The Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, confirmed that the release of the Sicilian fishermen in Benghazi took place in exchange for the restoration of relations with the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar.

 The US State Department has commented on the new South Korean legislation to ban the sending of anti-North Korean publications across the border, and stressed the importance of foreign information flowing to Pyongyang.

Moscow considered the US decision to impose sanctions on Turkey because of its acquisition of the Russian-made S-400 defense system, as new evidence of Washington’s inability to compete fairly at the international level.
