The Pentagon warned Monday that the likely leak of classified US documents, many of them related to the war in Ukraine and including Russia, posed a "very grave" threat to the national security of the United States and could lead to "loss of life." In recent days, dozens of documents and images have been leaked on Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and other sites, some of which may have been circulating for weeks, if not months.

The New York Times said that the number of documents leaked from the US Department of Defense “Pentagon” may reach more than 100 documents, and they contain excerpts from secret press vacations on Ukraine, China, the military theater in the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East, and terrorism.

 After the media leaked a set of classified documents, it was apparently prepared to deliver information to General Mark Milley, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Scott Ritter, a former inspector in the US Marines and the UN chemical weapons inspector in Iraq, spoke about the consequences of the leak of a set of secret US documents.
