 Fighting is still ongoing between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support forces in the Sudanese capital Khartoum and in the Darfur region in western Sudan, where the death toll of the fighting rose to about 574 dead with the disclosure of the death of 74 people in the city of El Geneina.

 

Crowds of Sudanese families, growing at Sudan's border crossing with Egypt and at a major port, are trying to take advantage of the opportunity of the three-day truce brokered by the United States and Saudi Arabia after the fighting subsided on the second day, in a desperate attempt to escape the violence in their country and sometimes waiting for days with little food or shelter in the capital Khartoum .

Police in South Africa said three men were arrested for stealing a 2.5-meter (8-foot) crocodile worth about 1,300 dollars from a farm in the Hartbeesfontein area about 200 kilometers (124 miles) west of Johannesburg in the Northwest Territory, and the men, aged 20 to 35, are believed to have used a pickup truck to transport the animal from a crocodile farm .

 

After dozens of bodies have so far been discovered in shallow graves on land owned by Pastor Paul MacKenzie on the coast of Kenya, Kenyan President William Ruto said that the starvation of dozens of the pastor's followers in the south of the country after telling his followers to fast to death is akin to terrorism .

 For the fifth day in a row, violence continues in Sudan, as images circulated by the media showed more damage caused by the fighting between the warring parties.
