At least 9.5 million livestock have died across the drought-affected Horn of Africa (HOA) countries of Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has disclosed.

 

The government agency responsible for the Renaissance Dam project announced the completion of 90 percent of the construction of the Ethiopian dam, over which there are major disputes between Ethiopia, Sudan, and Egypt.

 Ugandan lawmakers have approved a law that imposes a punishment of up to 10 years in prison for identifying as LGBTQ+, among other things.

The spokesman for the political process in Sudan, Khaled Omar Youssef, announced that the signing of the final political agreement will take place on the first of April and that the transitional constitution will be signed on the sixth of the same month.
