After the riots that hit the presidential palace

The Brazilian authorities continue to search for the organizers of the attack on official buildings Sunday in Brasilia, after issuing arrest warrants against two former officials, one of whom is a close ally of former President Jair Bolsonaro.

Former Justice Minister Anderson Torres was issued an arrest warrant by a Supreme Court judge for alleged complicity in the riots as head of Public Security in Brasilia, a position from which he was removed after Sunday's events.

Torres was in the United States on Sunday, as was the former president, who left Brazil two days before Lula's inauguration, refusing to hand him the presidential scarf.

Torres denied" any complicity with the barbaric events "and wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that he would return to Brazil" to stand trial " and defend himself.

"We have to fight terrorism resolutely, with those putschists who want to establish an exceptional regime,"said Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes in Brasilia.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Brasilia's military police chief, Fabio Augusto, who was removed from his post after the violence. According to the media, the latter was sent to prison.

On Sunday, Judge Moraes dismissed the governor of the Brasilia region, Ibanez Rocha, who had apologized to President Lula for "security gaps".

Also, the Brazilian police on Tuesday released 600 people arrested during the attack on official buildings in Brasilia, and the judiciary is preparing to launch prosecutions against those who organized and financed the rebellion.

Authorities said about 1,500 Bolsonaro supporters were arrested after Sunday's events and 527 suspects were jailed.

It is worth noting that Bolsonaro's supporters refuse to recognize the election of leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who was inaugurated on the first of January.

The Federal Police also announced in a statement that 599 people were released on "humanitarian grounds" because of their age, health condition or because they were accompanied by children.

However, all the buses leaving the police academy did not go to the bus station, but some buses took people who had been stopped to a police station for subsequent transfer to babuda prison.

President Lula wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that "Brazilian democracy is stable" and called what happened in the capital "terrorist acts". "We will get the country out of hatred and divisions,"he wrote in another message.

Justice Minister Flavio Dino said 50 new arrest warrants would be issued soon.

The minister announced in an interview for the GloboNews channel, "some of the memos will concern people who participated in the sabotage of power centers and were not arrested for the crime witnessed. Others will target people who were not in Brasilia but are suspected of organizing or financing the riots,"he said.

Influencers have created an Instagram account that allows internet users to report individuals who posted photos of them during the riots. This account was followed by more than a million subscribers as of Tuesday evening.

Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco, for his part, expressed support for the formation of a parliamentary investigative committee to shed full light on the "violations of the rule of Law" represented by the riots in Brasilia.
