Argentine President Alberto Fernandez expressed his belief that the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" against the Corona virus, which was criticized by opponents and the media, has become the target of a trade war and a "geopolitical conflict".

In an interview with "Pública" TV channel, Fernandes said: "There is a heated debate in which some distort others ... The first thing that must be taken into account is that there is a trade war going on. In addition, since the world is hungry for vaccines, there is a geopolitical dispute over who "It seems to me that this is exactly what we see in the case of the Gamalia Center vaccine, the institution that produces the Russian vaccine."

It was reported earlier that the vaccination with "Sputnik V" in Argentina will begin on Tuesday, after the drug has been delivered to all provinces of the country.

And a plane that arrived in Argentina on Christmas Eve had 300,000 doses of this Russian vaccine on board.

Argentina expects to receive additional doses of the Russian vaccine in January and February of 5 million and 14 million, respectively, to vaccinate all doctors, people over the age of 60 and security personnel.
