The "Financial Times" newspaper, citing health care experts, said that after taking office as President of the United States, Joe Biden will face the crisis caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
According to these experts, Biden will inherit a "latent catastrophic situation" associated with a sharp increase in the number of people infected with Covid-19 disease, and its complexity is made worse by the residents' mistrust of doctors and medical recommendations.
Tom Frieden, former president of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warned that "the virus has already spiraled out of control in many parts of the country, and this is the ideal scenario for its later spread."
Earlier, Biden announced plans to create a group of advisers to develop a plan to combat the emerging corona virus. Biden stressed that he would "spare no effort and commitment to curb the spread of the epidemic."
According to some data, the number of new infections with the Coronavirus in the United States approached 10 million. According to Johns Hopkins University, which relies on its statistics on official bodies and open source data, there have been 974,073 confirmed cases of corona in the United States since the beginning of the pandemic, including 236099 deaths, which is the largest toll in the world.
