US President Joe Biden said that doctors have found a way to keep former US President Jimmy Carter alive for much longer than they expected.

Biden revealed during a Democratic National Committee fundraiser that President Jimmy Carter, who is in a nursing home, asked Biden to deliver the eulogy upon his death, before appearing bemused to share the information with him.

He entered the nursing home on February 19 at the age of 98, becoming the longest-lived US president in the history of the United States of America.
Jimmy Carter was born in Plains, Georgia on October 1, 1924, and served as the 39th President of the United States of America from 1977 to 1981.
Carter is the oldest and longest-lived president, and he is longest-lived president in the post-presidency period. His marriage lasted 75 years, making him the longest-married president and the fifth-oldest living person to serve as head of state.
Carter, affiliated with the Democratic Party, served as the 76th governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975.
