At an auction held in San Francisco,
on a total of 631 pieces of the headquarters of "Twitter", the famous statue of the Blue Bird, which is adopted by the company "Twitter" as its logo, was sold for one hundred thousand dollars during an auction organized by the social network, which began to implement a set of measures to achieve financial savings since the acquisition of Elon Musk at the end of October.
Among the items of the auction were desks, kitchen appliances, an oven for cooking pizza, several coffee makers and decorative items, such as a two-meter flower pot in the form of the "@"symbol.
A luminous preparatory work representing a blue bird was sold for 40 thousand dollars, according to the company "Heritage Global Partners", which supervised the organization of the online auction.
At the beginning of last November, a week after his acquisition of "Twitter" for 44 billion dollars, Elon Musk preferred to lay off the services of half of the group's 7,500 employees, explaining that the company was losing more than four million dollars a day.
