With the increasing incidence and prevalence of deaths among Americans following
Increasing prevalence of fentanyl abuse
The figures show that it causes the death of about 9 Americans every hour
Statistics also indicate that the death rate increased last year due to this narcotic substance to 10 percent, reaching more than 110 thousand deaths
More than 70 percent of the deaths were caused by overdoses from the drug, which the government says is made with Chinese materials.
The US Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, said: "We see that chemicals and tools for the manufacture and production of phenylalanine are coming from China, so we are trying to limit their import, and we are also working with Mexico to limit their manufacture in their country and prevent the entry of these pills into our country."
The US authorities believe that the reason for the increased prevalence of phenylalanine among users is due to its low price compared to other narcotic substances
Last year, the DEA managed to seize a shipment of fentanyl, which it said was capable of causing the death of the entire population in the United States after seizing more than four tons of fentanyl and more than fifty million pills from it
The widespread phenomenon of fentanyl abuse has prompted the federal government and local authorities to intensify their awareness campaigns against drug use, as well as the distribution of anti-overdose vaccines
