The aviation sector in the United States suffered a huge disaster

Many may not realize its magnitude, but it is evident in the statements of some officials and pilots, who emphasized the similarities between what is happening now and what happened on the eleventh of September in 2001.

Southwest Airlines Pilots Association vice president Michael Santoro warned that "passengers will feel a huge impact" of the incident.

He added to Fox News: "the last time we stopped all the planes was, and I hate to say it, on September 11th. There are no planes moving".

For its part, the Kanawha County Commission in West Virginia issued a statement in which it said: "it is our judgment that we have not seen such a suspension of all aircraft since September 11. This is very important".

She continued:" We urge the people responsible for the NOTAM system to fix this problem quickly, "as explained by the American channel" wsaz".

Pilots also expressed concern about the incident, according to a group of those who are the correspondent of the "Fox"network. One said: "all US international flights are not going anywhere, and we have no indication when that will change."

"In my conversation with the pilots, they said that they had never seen this kind of stoppage of flight and because of such a problem,"the correspondent said.

A technical malfunction that hit the Federal Aviation Administration led to the disruption of all flights across the United States, and the disruption ranged from postponements to cancellations.

More than 4 thousand flights have been affected so far, due to the holiday that overshadowed the United States.
