The administration of US President Joe Biden is facing increasing criticism for addressing the supply chain crisis facing the country, which has left tens of ships waiting to unload tens of thousands of containers of cargo ranging from clothing to food at ports.
A White House official responded to President Joe Biden's comments about the use of the National Guard to deal with the supply chain crisis, stating in his statement that "it was up to the governors to request the use of the National Guard at the state level," adding that "we are not actively seeking to use the National Guard at the federal level."
Earlier, Biden told broker Anderson Cooper that he would contact the National Guard 'absolutely positively' if necessary to solve the supply chain crisis in America.
