Pro - Palestinian protesters have taken to the streets of Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and other US cities to demand an end to Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of people stopped traffic on a public road in western Los Angeles as they walked two miles from outside the federal building to the Israeli consulate. Protesters waved signs with the words "Free Palestine" and chanted "Live the intifada."
A protest that began in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, with a large community of Arabic speakers, continued on the streets for several hours yesterday Saturday afternoon.

In Washington, thousands of protesters flowed from the Washington Monument to the National Archives. In Philadelphia, protesters filled Rittenhouse Square to denounce United States support for Israel.
At a protest in Pittsburgh, a speaker called on legislators to place restrictions on how Israel spends assistance from the United States.
