An Egyptian official source denied, on Thursday, what was recently circulated on some websites and social media pages, about the deployment of British troops on Egyptian

The source said, in a special statement to the Cairo news channel, that "Western allegations of the deployment of British troops between Egypt and the Gaza Strip are false and unfounded.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Wednesday that Egypt "will not allow any displacement to Egyptian territory," in a reference to pushing the residents of northern Gaza to move south under the threat of Israeli shelling.

Sisi warned that the Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip could result in "very many" civilian casualties.

The commander of the Egyptian Third Field Army, Major General Sherif Al-Arishi, announced that the Egyptian army is currently at the highest level of combat efficiency.

"The men of the Third Field Army are ready to fold the ground, within the scope of responsibility or in any other place, they are assigned to go to them,"he added.

He pointed out that they keep the supreme interest of the homeland in mind, preserve its security, and give themselves and their lives as a ransom for the homeland's soil.

He stressed that the Egyptian army personnel continue day and night to maintain the barrier wall and the protective shield against all those who try to tamper with the capabilities of the homeland.

The Gaza Strip has been under Israeli land, sea and air bombardment since Hamas and other Palestinian factions launched the "Al-Aqsa flood" operation on October 7.

The Israeli bombardment of Gaza resulted in more than 7,000 deaths and injured about 15 thousand people, while the confrontations in the West Bank resulted in the death of more than 100 Palestinians and injured about 1,700 others.

On the other hand, the Israeli death toll reached about 1,400 people; in addition, 5,431 others were injured.
