The Syrian news agency quoted the Syrian defense that"at about one hour and 25 minutes today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport".

"The bombing resulted in material damage to the airport's airstrip and its decommissioning,"she added.

The Israeli military announced in a statement earlier today that it had "destroyed Iranian weapons and ammunition shipments inside Aleppo airport in Syria in response to the missiles fired yesterday towards Israeli territory".

It is noteworthy that Aleppo International Airport has been subjected to 3 Israeli bombardments, the last of which was last Sunday, which led to its out of Service.

Israel accuses Iran of trying to open a second war front by deploying weapons in or through Syria.‏

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant also stated that"Iran and Hezbollah will not be allowed to position themselves in Syria and harm Israel".

It is noteworthy that Syria warned last Sunday against the recurrence of Israeli attacks on its territory, noting that this could lead to an escalation of violence in the region in a difficult way to control.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry stressed that "Israel's continuation of its attacks indicates its failure and the escalation of hysteria suffered by it due to Syria's resistance to all attempts by Israel and terrorist forces to weaken it and divert it from its position of support for the Palestinian people and its efforts to liberate its land, and Syria's insistence on the restoration of the occupied Syrian Golan".

The escalation between the Palestinian Hamas movement and the Israeli forces continues after Hamas launched, at dawn on Saturday, October 7, Operation Al-Aqsa deluge, where thousands of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel and its forces stormed Israeli settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip, capturing a large number of Israeli military and civilians, while Israel responded by launching Operation iron swords, promising Hamas to pay a heavy price for its attack.
