The Egyptian presidential spokesman pointed out in a press statement that the two sides stressed their keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, as well as to intensify existing cooperation and coordination in various fields, especially military and security, in light of the importance of supporting efforts to restore security and stability and consolidate peace in the Middle East region.

The spokesman added that the meeting witnessed the discussion on a number of issues of mutual interest, especially the developments of the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Sisi reviewed Egypt's efforts to de-escalate, stressing the importance of concerted efforts by the international community to push towards containing the crisis situation and stopping its escalation in dangerous directions, and switching to the approach of reviving the path of peace on the basis of the two-state solution living side by side in peace and security, taking into account the danger of the security consequences of this conflict spilling over to the entire regional environment.

The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where the Egyptian President stressed the importance of continuing to deliver humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in the Strip in a sustainable manner, as a top priority in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
