Amid tensions on the southern Lebanese border since the launch of the "Al-Aqsa flood" operation, Hezbollah announced the targeting of two Merkava tanks and a personnel carrier at the Hanita barracks in northern Israel, and confirmed in a statement the deaths and injuries among Israeli soldiers.

Hezbollah said in its statement : "in continuing to respond to the killing and wounding of journalists in the town of Al-Shaab and civilians in the town of Shaba, the Islamic Resistance fighters attacked the Hanita Zionist barracks on Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2023, with guided missiles, resulting in the injury of two Merkava tanks and a tracked personnel carrier and a number of dead and wounded in the ranks of the enemy army. ‏

The Israeli authorities have officially announced the death of an Israeli soldier and the wounding of three as a result of Hezbollah's firing of an anti-armor missile.

An IDF spokesman said in a statement : "there was a report of the firing of an anti-armor missile (for the fifth time today) towards an army force at the Lebanese border," while the Israeli army targeted the vicinity of the town of dahira in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Hezbollah announced the "martyrdom of 3 of its members" as a result of Israeli shelling and military operations, while the Israeli army announced a number of deaths among its members as a result of armed clashes and shelling from Lebanon.

The United States and its allies have warned Lebanon's Hezbollah of the consequences of intervening in the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also warned Iran and the Lebanese"Hezbollah" against interfering in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
