Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi chaired, on Sunday, the meeting of the National Security Council, which witnessed a review of developments

The regional situation, especially with regard to the military escalation developments in the Gaza Strip.

Advisor Ahmed Fahmy, spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, said that the meeting issued the following decisions:

- Maintaining contacts with international and regional partners in order to de-escalate and stop targeting civilians.

- Intensifying contacts with international and regional relief organizations in order to deliver the required assistance.

- Stressing that there is no solution to the Palestinian issue except the two-state solution, while rejecting and deploring the policy of displacement or attempts to liquidate

The Palestinian cause is at the expense of neighboring countries.

- Highlighting Egypt's readiness to make any effort to calm down and launch and resume a real peace process.

- Affirming that Egypt's national security is a red line and there is no complacency in protecting it.

- Inviting Egypt to host an international regional summit to address the developments and the future of the Palestinian issue.
