After the Syrian government was held responsible for the deaths of civilians, the Arab League Council suspended Syria's membership in November 2011.
On the sidelines of the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra of Beirut confirmed that his country was pulsing the pulse of all Arab States in order to achieve a consensus paving the way for Syria's return to its seat in the Arab League.
"Syria is a founding member of the League of Arab States, and we, like Algeria, have no problem with Syria returning to its seat."
"We are doing a pulsation process for all Arab countries, and we will listen to their views during the meeting, and we hope to achieve consensus on the issue of Syria," Lamamra added.
"As a host country, Algeria will do its utmost to reunite and strengthen the Arab common will to meet the challenges collectively," Lamamra continued.
The next Arab summit is scheduled to take place in Algeria on November 1 and 2.
