During the receipt of Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defence, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Mohammed Alimi at his

residence during his special visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that it plans to implement 17 projects in 6 sectors for the development and reconstruction of Yemen.

During the meeting, a package of vital development projects was announced and implemented by the Saudi Programme for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which included 17 development projects in 6 sectors: energy, transport, education, water, health and the construction of State institutions, valued at $ 400 million.

Saudi Arabia also intends to provide an additional $200 million to provide Yemen's oil derivatives for the operation of power plants to meet the priority needs of the Yemeni people and to raise their suffering.

The two sides also discussed developments in the situation in Yemen and the efforts of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council to consolidate and gather Yemeni components with a view to achieving a comprehensive political solution.

In turn, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defence reaffirmed his country's support for the Council and its positive initiatives with the international community to bring security, peace and stability to Yemen, end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution that would convey peace and development to Yemen.
