For the first time in years, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received, on Saturday morning, at the Federal Palace, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani
"President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi receives at Cairo Airport His Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, who is a generous guest to Egypt on a two-day official visit."
Radi stated that the visit was expected to include "bilateral discussions between the two leaders to address the overall bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries and ways to strengthen them in various areas, as well as discussions on developments on regional and international political issues of mutual interest."
Qatar's Emiri Diwan announced earlier that Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani had travelled to the Egyptian capital of Cairo for an official visit.
In a statement, the Qatari Diwan said: "Sheikh Tamim left this afternoon the city of Kigali after participating in the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting held in the friendly Republic of Rwanda."
