Through a press conference held by "SDF" in Al-Hasakah and in a statement published today summarizing the results and repercussions of the Al-Sina'a prison events, the "Syrian Democratic Forces" held Turkey "the greatest responsibility" for the attack on Al-Sina'a prison in Al-Hasakah, northern Syria, at the hands of ISIS militants in earlier this month

In its statement, the SDF said: "What happened in the attack on Al-Sina'a prison confirms that the terrorist organization exploited the political conditions, and relied directly or indirectly from the help of some regional countries. In this context, the role of the Turkish state was the most prominent."

The statement added that Turkey's responsibility in this attack and in the continued presence of ISIS "is the greatest because the Turkish state's attacks on northern and eastern Syria, and its constant threats to it, give ISIS the moral strength, to catch its breath again and prepare the ground for reorganizing its ranks."

The statement described the al-Sina’a prison attack as “not an ordinary attack, and it came within the context of a broad plan,” noting that if this attack had succeeded, the gunmen would have launched attacks on other neighborhoods in al-Hasakah and on the areas of “al-Hol, al-Shadada, and Deir ez-Zor” up to announcing The establishment of the "Second Islamic State".

The events of al-Sina’a prison demonstrated once again “the need to search for radical solutions to the presence of mercenary families in al-Hol camp,” which the statement described as “a time bomb from which the safety valve has been removed,” as well as “raising again the issue of speeding up the trial of ISIS terrorists by forming the basis of a court.” international."

Regarding the outcome of the attack, the statement indicated that ISIS militants brutally liquidated 77 prison workers and guards, while our correspondent stated that one of the fighters assured him that 60 people in the prison had been beheaded.

According to the statement, 40 SDF fighters were killed, in addition to 4 civilians, in the clashes and battles outside the prison, which lasted for seven days, while the number of ISIS dead with the attackers reached 374.
