Today, the Arab Alliance announced that it had "carried out 33 targeted attacks against the Houthis in Marb and al-Baida within 24 hours, destroying 21 military mechanisms, killing 190 terrorist elements" and causing loss of life and material to the "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) group.

He added: "27 targeting operations were carried out against the Houthi in Al-Obeid (central Yemen) within 24 hours, 16 military mechanisms were destroyed and 150 terrorist elements were killed."

The Arab coalition has intensified its air operations in the province of Marb and, since last October, in support of Yemeni army forces in their ongoing battles with the oil-rich "Houthis" in Marb, following the group's progress on the ground during its ongoing military operation against Government forces for the eleventh month in Marb.

The control of the city of Maarb is of great political, military and economic importance in the conflict in Yemen. The city includes the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence and the Yemeni army command, as well as the fields and refineries of the oil safar.

The Houthis are using Al-Obeid Governorate, which is adjacent to 8 governorates, to transport their military reinforcements of fighters and materiel to Marb Governorate.
