In confrontations between young men in a number of Palestinian villages and the Israeli army and as a result of tear gas canisters, Palestinian medical sources said 10 citizens were hit by live bullets, dozens by rubber bullets and chokes.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that one of the injuries occurred in the village of Barqa, north of Nablus, and that the injured person was seriously injured by a bullet wound to the abdomen, following which he was admitted to the operating room of Al-Najah University Hospital in Nablus.

The villages of Bazaria, Bazariya and Al-Bazariya, located between the cities of Nablus and Jenin, have been experiencing clashes for several days following the shooting that took place about 10 days ago, in which a settler was killed and two others injured.

The Israeli army said that it had arrested a number of residents of the village of Sela Harthi, north of the city of Jenin, responsible for the shooting.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that its crews had dealt with 247 casualties in a village, including 10 live bullets, 48 rubber bullets and 185 tear gas.

Palestinian factions launched an appeal to rally in the village of Barqa to counter a march called for by settlers at the scene of the shooting in the settlement of Houmesh al-Khallaa since 2005, close to the village.

Residents of the village of Barqa say that settlers are seeking to return to this settlement.

No statement was issued by the Israeli army on events in villages between the cities of Nablus and Jenin.
