During his participation, today, at the graduation ceremony of National Defence Sessions No. 33 and Supreme War No. 21, at the Nimeiri High Military Academy, he said, "There is no retraction of action and the democratization will be completed."
The Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Burhan, confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces would remain loyal to the people to reach free elections.
"The political agreement with Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk is the safe way out to complete the transition to civilian authority for the country," Al-Burhan said.
The President of the Sovereign Council emphasized: "We are working on a charter that includes all political forces except the defunct National Congress Party."
Last October 25, Proof announced the dissolution of the Transitional Sovereign Councils and Ministers, and the declaration of a state of emergency in the country, ending the union formed by civilians and the military to manage the transitional period following the fall of former President Omar al-Bashir's regime in 2019.
However, on 21 November last, Proof and Hamduk signed a new political agreement requiring Hamduk to return to office almost a month after his removal.
During the previous period, the Sudanese capital Khartoum, in addition to a number of other cities, witnessed demonstrations rejecting the political agreement signed between Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk and the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on 21 November.
The Sudan has experienced a state of tension since the announcement of a failed coup attempt, last September, following which there began to be a sharp escalation of accusations between the military and civilian parties, who share power, after the fall of the Bashir regime.
