During its opening today, the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, paid tribute to the Defence Industries Exhibition "Edix 2021."
He told the guests of the exhibition that he would "welcome them and congratulate them on the opening of this exhibition with a huge presence, reflecting a very strong presence, organization, size and capacity of the companies in the exhibition."
El-Sisi followed up with the gallery guests: "I wish you well and a good stay in Egypt at this time of year."
The Egyptian President then took a memorial photo with the heads of delegations participating in the "Edix 2021" exhibition.
The Egyptian Minister of Defence, on the opening day of the "Edix 2021" exhibition, General Mohamed Zaki, stressed in a speech that "the Egyptian army will continue to be the guardian and protector of this nation, maintaining its security and stability, in close cooperation with peace and security-loving nations."
He went on to point out that "Egypt's quest for power is aimed at preserving its security and safety in a conflict-ridden world, especially since those with the keys to power can make peace."
In his speech, the Egyptian Minister of Defence also stressed that "the Egyptian people and their children from the army are the greatest challenge to the dangers.
The "Edix 2021" exhibition, sponsored by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, is being held from 29 November to 2 December at the Egypt International Conference and Exhibition Centre.
More than 400 exhibitors from 40 countries participate in the exhibition.
