Referring to the so - called carcinogenic wheat issue, the Tunisian President, Qays Said, warned against compromising Tunisian power, stressing the need to break with what has happened in past years.
In his reception, the Director-General of the Grain Office, Bashir Elcheiri, noted that there had been abuses in the sector on more than one occasion, when wheat had been imported from abroad, "it was a carcinogenic wheat."
The Tunisian President added that he wanted to tell the people that there was no going back, and warned anyone considering tampering with Tunisian power that the law would be fully implemented.
Saeed described the violation of Tunisian power as high treason, stressing that "those who burn fields or burn forests will also face the fire of law."
"We don't want to regulate anyone, we don't want to touch anyone, but we hold the trust," said Saeed.
He called on the Tunisian President to rise to the country's historic moment, saying that he echoes a long - raised slogan: "Bread, water, no going back."
"We will go ahead in making a new history for Tunisia, we have all the possibilities and all the capabilities, and there are free and honorable people in the Grain Office and many other departments."
Referring to "corrupt and criminal" the Tunisian President said that there was no room for tampering with Tunisian power, freedom or dignity.
Saeed stated that no one had been arrested because he had given an opinion, nor had rights and freedoms ever been violated, "but there is only dialogue with the honest."
