An official Jordanian source confirmed today that in the name of Awadalla, the former head of the Royal Cabinet, he is still under arrest and has not left the country.

The source is quoted as saying: "The accused, in the name of Awadalla, is still under arrest in the investigative case, and there is no truth to what is shared on social media that he left the country."

The security authorities had arrested Awadalla along with others days earlier, "for security reasons," and "conspiracy to stabilize the country"

Yesterday, Awadalla's name was released, most notably in the search engine Google in Saudi Arabia.

This came after reports linked the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, 's visit to Jordan, Tuesday, to Awaيشسبالةياولهاا إزاء رة القيادة دة حال إتخاذ أى خطوات غير وديةdalla.

Awadollah is a Jordanian citizen and former senior adviser to King Abdullah II and served as Chief of the Royal Cabinet from November 2007 until October 2008. Prior to his arrest, Awadullah had served as the Jordanian sovereign's special envoy to Saudi Arabia, which had granted him its passport.
