The protests in French cities, yesterday, Saturday, against the "comprehensive security" bill, resulted in the injury of 62 policemen, while more than 80 demonstrators were arrested.

Today, Sunday, local media said that 23 policemen were injured during protests in Paris, while 39 others were injured in other cities.

Videos circulated on social media on Saturday evening showing groups of protesters beating elements of the French gendarmerie.

At the same time, the Ministry of Interior said that demonstrators filed a complaint with the General Police Department, about the gendarmerie using violence against protesters.

Yesterday, Saturday, French cities witnessed massive demonstrations denouncing the "comprehensive security" law, in light of the crisis of a new case about violence by some police.

Article 24 of the aforementioned law, which focuses on attention, stipulates a one-year prison sentence and a fine of 45,000 euros in the event of publishing pictures or broadcasting clips of police and gendarmes motivated by "bad faith."

The protesters are also protesting the legalization of the security forces' use of drones and surveillance cameras.

The organizers of the protest movements consider that this law violates freedoms at a time when there are many complaints about the police forces' use of violence against demonstrators.
