After the authorities received a report that there was a bomb on board

Director of Public Relations at Katowice airport Piotr Adamczyk said that the airport authorities received a telephone call that there was a bomb on board the plane while flying over Slovakia.

"After the plane took off, a call was received to the Information Center at the airport about the possible presence of an explosive device on board,"he said.

"We contacted the control tower, which in turn contacted the pilots,"he added.
