Since the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine last 24 February, in a strike that is the first to be referred to against oil installations in Crimea, Russian authorities

reported Monday that Ukrainian forces had targeted oil rigs at sea, off Crimea, and at least 3 injured, while rescue operations were underway.

The Moscow-appointed Governor of Crimea Sergei Axionov posted on "Telegram": "This morning, the enemy attacked Chernomornift Gas's oil platforms. I am in contact with our colleagues in the Ministry of Defence and the FSB (Russian Intelligence) and we are trying to save people. "

Five people were rescued, including three wounded, while searches for others continued "with patrol ships and air vehicles".

Axionov did not identify the facilities that were injured, but Chernomornift Gas is active in many of the Black Sea and Azov's oil and gas fields off Crimea.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy predicted that Russia would escalate its attacks this week, and Zelenskiy said in his video address on Sunday evening: "We have to expect Russia to intensify its hostile activities this week. We're getting ready. We are ready ".
