Carl Decallo, the governor of West Flanders, Belgium, announced that emergency services had rescued 24 migrants on a small boat in the North Sea off the coast of Zebrug
DiCallo explained that all 24 passengers had been rescued and that one was in serious condition.
Upon receiving a distress call, the Belgian Air Force said that it had sent a helicopter to the site of the collapsing sinking boat in the area of a offshore wind farm, and a paramedic had landed on the boat.
DiCalo said that five migrants were flown to safety, while the other 19 were taken overland by boat and added that the authorities had not yet determined the destination of the migrants.
