Thieves robbed the world's largest rabbit of a barn in the British county of Worstershire, while his owner announced a reward for being able to return it.

British police believe the 129 cm-tall giant rabbit called Darius was stolen from a barn in the garden of his landlady's house.

Rabbit owner Annette Edwards announced a £, 000 reward for the return of her huge animal, recorded in the Guinness Encyclopedia of Records in 2010 for being the largest of its kind.

Edwards lamented the loss of the rabbit, saying it was a "very sad day," and on her Twitter account, she asked those who stole Darius to bring it back: "Please. Bring him back to his barn. "

A police spokesman said: "We appeal to everyone to report any information regarding the rabbit after it was stolen from his house."
