Amidst the continuing crisis over the no-confidence vote by Prime Minister Imran Khan, and while the Speaker of the Parliament of Pakistan announced his resignation hours ago,

the Parliament of Pakistan voted in favour of a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan, 172 deputies voted in favour of the removal of Imran Khan.

The vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister of Pakistan was resumed, before the votes revealed in favour of Khan's removal from office were counted.

Opposition lawmakers and analysts said the ruling party tried to delay the vote, but it was not done.

The opposition blames Khan for failing to revive the economy and eradicate corruption, while the latter says, without providing evidence, that the United States coordinated the move to overthrow him.
