The Iranian news agency reports that an explosion in an oxygen pipeline at a petrochemical plant in the Gulf town of Assawiya killed a worker.
"An explosion in the oxygen transmission line to two petrochemical plants killed one person and injured two others."
The Agency indicated that fire agents had ended the suppression of the fire from the explosion.
Over the past period, Iran has witnessed frequent incidents of explosions whose causes are unknown. Last Sunday, at least 9 people were injured by an explosion, followed by a fire, at a chemical and fireworks factory in central Iran's Isfahan province.
This first May, a chemical plant caught fire near the central Iranian city of Qom, injuring at least two firefighters.
Last April, an attack targeted a uranium enrichment plant in Ntins.
On 21 March, an explosion killed one individual and injured three others in a town in southeastern Iran, which was the center of bloody unrest.
