On December 16, the Russian passenger plane "Il-114-300" made its first flight.

This came in a statement issued by the Russian “Rostec Company.” The pilot was commanded by the crew, which includes the pilots, Nikolai Koimov and Dmitry Komarov, and the pilot engineer, Oleg Gryazev.

The statement indicated that the plane took off from "Zhukovsky" airport to test the engine operating systems, stability and pilotability of the plane, as well as the operation of all its systems.

The head of the Russian state-owned "Rostec" company, Sergey Chemezov, said that the Unified Aircraft Corporation, as a branch of "Rostec", plans to receive in 2022 a license to use the aircraft, to begin by 2023 in batch production.

As for the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Mentorov, he announced that the civilian "Il-114 -300" production program requires that by 2030 about 100 civilian aircraft of this type be produced, which will be distributed to airlines according to previously submitted requests.

It is expected that "Polar Airlines" will become the first airline to receive that plane.

It is noteworthy that the "Il-114-300" is an upgraded version of the "Il-114-100" aircraft and is intended to carry 68 passengers or 6.8 tons of cargo in regional airlines.
