Burkina Faso is a country in western Africa with an extensive plateau,

its geography is characterized by forests in the north and the south.
According to the government's declarations today, they said about 50 women are kidnapped in different incidents across the countries, especially from the villagers.
"Around 50 women and girls were taken in the incidents which happened on January 12 and 13 respectively"
statement by the governor of the country’s Sahel region.

The governor of Sahel offered his sorrow and solidarity to the women's families and promised that the authorities will make their best to free them and come back safely to their homes.
it wasn't the first time that this kind of incident of abduction and kidnapping happened there but through the tens of years, it was repeated by the military gangs or movements who used to attack the villages in forests and kill their men while they are kidnapping the girls and women.

Burkina Faso was a former French colony, it gained its independence in 1960. But though France still interferes in its life and so today the french foreign ministry condemned the kidnapping incidents and asked the authorities to stop it at once, so the girls also can return to their families.
“France reaffirms its solidarity and commitment to Burkina Faso,” the statement by the french ministry.
It is worth to add most army movements are quarreling because of their religious diversity...
More than half the population is Muslim. About one-fifth of the Burkinabé are Roman Catholic, and one-sixth follow traditional religions. Most of the remainder are Protestant or non-religious.
during the last tens, the country joined deadly civil conflicts.
