Ulyanov added that they claim that removing marijuana from Schedule Four will make medical use easier.

The Russian diplomat added, "But no one has been able to prove that this is indeed the case. No one has explained how the previous system prohibited the use of cannabis for scientific and medical purposes."

Earlier, the United Nations Drug Commission excluded cannabis and cannabis resin from the Fourth Schedule of the Standard Narcotics Convention.
