South Korea's President, Moon Jae-in, announced that his country has decided to contribute to providing the emerging corona virus vaccine to developing countries, with financial assistance that he set at 10 million dollars.

Moon said: "We will contribute 10 million dollars to support the provision of a vaccine against Corona to developing countries through the Kovacs initiative."

The South Korean president's pledge of this support came during the second annual summit meeting with the leaders of the 5 Mekong River countries in Southeast Asia, which took place via video, due to the necessities of combating the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

The group of 5 Mekong River states is made up of Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.
