With the spreading of Ukrainian news about the shootout incident in Minsk, on Saturday Belarus’ State Border Committee denied all the reports describing them with destructive reports.

"A number of sources on the Internet, published destructive reports which fire the situation with fake claims, all of them didn't happen.
The spreading reports, citing Ukrainian resources, about an alleged shootout on the border section with Ukraine on February 25, 2023. These reports have nothing to do with the real state of affairs. There were no incidents with the use of weapons, border guards did not open fire," it wrote on its Telegram channel on Sunday.

The State Border Committee called for using "official, verified and reliable sources of information and not yielding to provocations and fake news.".
