The Spanish Interior Ministry said in a statement that "an envelope containing pyrotechnic materials" addressed "to the head of government Pedro Sanchez", was "detected and revoked by the security services of the head of government" on "November 24".
"This envelope and its content are similar to the letter received by the embassy of Ukraine on Wednesday,"the ministry added.

Other letters were sent to the US embassy in Spain and to a company manufacturing grenade launchers that Kiev received from Madrid with the beginning of the Russian military operation.
The head of security affairs at the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid was slightly injured on his right hand on Wednesday after opening a booby-trapped letter addressed to the ambassador.
The interior ministry said that other letters "with the same description" were seized on Wednesday evening at a weapons manufacturing company in Zaragoza (Northeast), and then on Thursday at a large military base near Madrid and at the US embassy.
The mentioned company "Instalaza" mainly manufactures grenade launchers, which the Spanish government sent to Ukraine shortly after the start of the Russian military operation in February.
Spanish minister of State for security affairs Rafael Perez said at a press conference that "the first indications" are that ـن these letters were sent from inside Spain.
