U.S. presidential climate envoy John Kerry on U.S. commitment to implementing climate pledges
Kerry said during a press conference, on the sidelines of the cop27 climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh: "we have a working team associated with every government agency and also we are working on many local components and President Biden talked about partnerships as we shed light on what happened as a result of inflation.. Therefore, we are trying to fulfill obligations, help other countries in the framework of countering climate change and taking advantage of technology,"he said.
John Kerry continued: "President Joe Biden has called for action to address climate change and reduce methane emissions by 2030.. We are following this all over the world.. We talked about the efforts that countries are implementing to stop carbon emissions.. Providing support to the private sector.. We are trying to help the most vulnerable countries so that they can withstand the climate crisis.. We are supporting a series of partnerships in Sharm el-Sheikh".
"We support energy projects in Egypt.. Egypt has prepared a platform that talks about optimal ways to reduce emissions and find a way for the world to reach "zero emissions".. The use of fossil fuels has decreased, pointing out that there is a trend to use the gas produced in Egypt and use it in European countries.. Egypt has committed to building 10 - megawatt solar power plants in cooperation with the United States, Germany and the European bank .. Germany will provide a loan in this regard,"he said.
