Egypt-Sharm el Sheikh

The city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt has begun receiving delegations participating in the prominent global event, the cop27 climate summit, amid assurances that a large number of world leaders and leaders will attend.

The delegations have reached the participating countries of the summit, which will allocate pavilions to display their specialized environmental projects in the green zone, in addition to official delegations to receive the leaders and leaders who have started arriving successively

A total of leaders and representatives of more than 190 countries are expected to participate in the conference, in addition to a number of prominent and activists, and more than 3 thousand foreign journalists from 450 regional and international media outlets.

President Sisi is expected to participate in a number of key events at the summit

Among the most prominent attendees of the conference were many presidents and international figures, including for example :

* The White House confirmed the presence of US President Joe Biden on November 11 as part of an official delegation, including Presidential Special Envoy for Climate Affairs John Kerry, foreign ministers Antony Blinken, energy Jennifer Granholm, Agriculture Tom Vilsack and national security adviser Jake Sullivan.

* The German government has announced the participation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the climate summit.

* The president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will participate in the conference with a large official delegation.

* British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak decided to attend the "cup27" summit, days after announcing his non-participation due to internal commitments.

The French Embassy in Cairo has confirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron will attend the climate summit.

* Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni announced her intention to participate.

* A high-level delegation headed by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte is attending Sharm el-Sheikh.

  • The European Union has confirmed the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in the summit.

* UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres participates.

* Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog announced that he will lead his country's delegation to the climate conference.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed her attendance at the summit.

* President of Senegal Macky Sall attends.

* Former British prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed his attendance, at the invitation of Egypt.

* Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will also attend.

* Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be among the attendees.

* Brazilian President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is on his first foreign trip since winning the election.

* Prime Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.

* American actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio.
