Starting from Sunday, November 6, until November 18, 2022, the COP27 climate summit will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in order to combat climate change, which many countries of the world are suffering from .
During the conference, many important issues and topics will be discussed, including providing an opportunity to consider the effects of climate change, mobilizing action, and the issue of water is at the top of the agenda of the cop27 climate summit.
The COP27 climate summit also seeks to renew solidarity between countries to implement the historic Paris Agreement for the sake of people and the planet, and to limit the rise in global temperatures.
The COP27 climate summit works to provide climate-related financing to developing countries, reviewing countries ' commitments to reduce emissions every 5 years.
It is worth mentioning that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had asked world leaders to participate in the 27th session of the cop27 Conference of the parties to climate change, adding that this conference is the right place for all countries and the group of twenty to show their active participation in the climate battle.
It is expected that 40 thousand participants will attend the cop 27 climate summit, including leaders, princes and Kings from 197 countries around the world, to discuss the issue of climate change and its impact on the environment. And the efforts of those countries to confront and address this problem.
World leaders, experts of environmental organizations from UN bodies and businessmen are meeting at the cop27 climate summit to discuss ways to confront the climate crisis.
As part of its preparation for the climate summit , the Egyptian Ministry of Environment has developed three axes, as follows: "equipping special facilities for the participation of people with special needs, organizing the civil society day at the summit, highlighting its role and success stories.the third axis concerns the provision of 1000 volunteers to participate in the summit. the ministry received 9900 volunteer applications from 80 countries, and 1300 volunteers were selected from them, based on the criteria of diversity and respect for difference.
