As part of the preparations for the climate conference "COP27" scheduled to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh , early next November, Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Health
and population, inspected the quarantine at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, to review the final preparations for the implementation of the health insurance system, for the cop27 climate conference
This comes as part of a field tour by the minister in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, South Sinai governorate, to inspect the quarantine, a number of medical facilities, accommodation and reception of delegations, as part of the field review of the preparations of the health insurance system for the climate conference "COP27".
During the minister's inspection of the quarantine at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, he directed to increase the number of thermal gates to ensure that the delegations participating in the conference are not crowded, as well as directing him to allocate specific routes for arriving guests.
Dr. Hossam Abdul Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and population, explained that the minister inspected the quarantine clinic rooms to check on their readiness and the availability of all medical and preventive supplies.
Abdul Ghaffar added that the minister instructed the participating delegations to inform the conference about the information on the health services provided by the ministry in medical facilities, and the locations of those facilities in Sharm el-Sheikh, by allocating a "barcode" code that allows that information in quarantine.
"Abdul Ghaffar" explained that the minister directed to identify dedicated routes for those attending the hospital, from the delegations participating in the conference, stressing the continuation of providing all medical services to citizens attending the hospital during the period of the conference activities.
"Abdul Ghaffar" added that the minister inspected the central control room at Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital, which connects the hospital with all sectors of the ministry concerned with the implementation of the health insurance plan for the climate conference, which is linked to the unified national network for emergencies and public safety, in order to quickly deal with any crises or emergency situations.
"Abdul Ghaffar" continued that on the sidelines of the tour, the minister held a meeting with the leaders of the ministry accompanying him, where he directed to provide customer service offices at the entrances of the reception department at Sharm el-Sheikh hospital, to deal with various nationalities, and provide all means of assistance to them.he also reviewed the plans to deal with emergencies and crises during the conference, thanking the leaders for their achievement during a short period to implement the health insurance plan for the conference.
"Abdul Ghaffar" added that the minister completed his tour by inspecting the regional ambulance Center in Sharm el-Sheikh, to follow up the readiness of ambulances dedicated to securing the guests participating in the conference, and the map of the distribution of cars on roads, hubs, clinics and accommodation hotels inside and outside Sharm el-Sheikh, as well as ambulances equipped with cameras for field follow-up of any emergency cases.
"Abdul Ghaffar" said that the minister's tour included inspecting one of the referral hospitals in Sharm el-Sheikh, where the minister directed him to quickly prepare him to receive any sick cases, if necessary to refer them to the hospital.
Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that the minister witnessed with Major General Khaled Fouda, governor of South Sinai, the launch of the marine ambulance, to check on his readiness to secure the conference delegations by sea, and the minister also witnessed a simulation of a "virtual" incident to see how the ambulance teams quickly intervened to ensure the provision of the best ambulance services to patients .
