At the most important and largest political event at the party and Republican levels, the Communist Party of China, during the opening of its 20th National Congress, unveiled its

plan to comprehensively build a modern socialist China for the next five years and beyond, while Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech carried many messages at home and abroad.

The conference , which is organized every 5 years, is the first for the party after its centenary, which took place last year in 2021, and is of great importance in China, as its results are of great importance not only for Beijing's policies internally and externally, but also for policymakers in all countries of the world, in light of the continuing growing rise of Beijing on the international arena, and is also considered an"operations room" where decisions are made and policies and outlines are drawn for the party and the country regarding political, economic or social affairs.

"The next five years are crucial for making efforts and making a good start to the process of comprehensively building a modern socialist state,"Xi said in his speech at the opening session of the conference.

"From now on, the central task of the Communist Party of China is to unite with the people of different nationalities of the whole country and lead it to comprehensively accomplish the construction of a powerful modern socialist state, comprehensively advance the great renaissance of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization,"he added.

"The party has launched a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, got rid of extreme poverty, comprehensively completed the construction of a well-off society, and thus the first centenary goal has been completed, "he noted, calling the three main events a"historic victory".
