In a press conference today, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia and China are cooperating in various areas, including the high military technology industry.

Responding to a journalist's question about cooperation with China, Putin said: "Russia is working with China to promote trade cooperation, human rights cooperation and addressing climate change."

He added: "China has one of the most advanced armies in technology, and we are working with them to develop high-precision weapons."

The Russian President indicated that he had a relationship of trust with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, highlighting that this would help to build "practical and successful relationships."

Putin's talk comes as his country faces accusations of its willingness to launch a military attack on Ukraine, which Moscow denies.

The Russian President has repeatedly stressed that he does not want a "dispute" in Ukraine, but demands security guarantees in hot spots.
