Illegal migration has become a global crisis that the countries of the world are trying to address, including Mexico and Washington, where Mexico has called on Washington to resolve this crisis, and Tunisia, Italy, to address the same crisis between them.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the United States, called for "action" to resolve the current migration crisis.

At his daily press conference, López Obrador said that the United States had "committed to investing 4 billion dollars, 2 billion for Central America and 2 billion for Mexico, nothing has arrived, yes nothing, much has been spoken, must move."

"A favourable atmosphere prevails now, because President Joe Biden is engaged, and Kamala Harris and (Jack) Sullivan, President Biden's security adviser, are also very engaged, and now the ambassador."

The Mexican President continued, "In other words, there are excellent conditions for the signing of a good agreement for the development of Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly the Central American States. So we'll wait and I think there'll be results. "

Tens of thousands of undocumented migrants, mostly Haitians, have arrived in recent months at Mexico's southern border in search of a new life in the United States.

United States authorities have begun to return Haitians by air from the Texas border town of Del Rio, where thousands are waiting to enter the United States.

Many of these arrived in Mexico from Brazil or Chile, where they were staying as refugees, after a dangerous journey through ten countries.

On the other hand, Reza Gerslaoui, who is responsible for running the Tunisian Ministry of the Interior, stressed the continued cooperation between his country and Italy in combating illegal migration.

This came during his meeting with Italy's Ambassador to Tunisia, Lorenzo Fanara.

For his part, the Italian Ambassador stressed the importance of the efforts made by Tunisian security units in the face of illegal immigration.
